200 grams of Precooked White P.A.N. Cornmeal.
1 can of P.A.N. stewed black beans.
200 ml of cold water.
1 teaspoon of salt.
350 grams of P.A.N. Semi-hard fresh cheese.
Blend the beans until a smooth and homogeneous mix is obtained.
In a bowl, mix the bean cream, water, salt and P.A.N. Precooked White Cornmeal gradually until a homogeneous consistency is obtained. Let it stand for 2 minutes.
Divide into 6 equal portions, roll into balls and flatten to form disks.
In an oiled frying pan or griddle, cook the arepas de caraotas on each side for 7 – 8 minutes.
Open the arepa on one side, fill with the grated fresh white cheese.
