The homemade taste of our black beans in a deliciously classic arepa.
For the arepas:
2 cups of P.A.N. Precooked White Cornmeal.
2 ½ cups of water.
1 teaspoon of salt.
For the filling:
2 cans of Gusto by P.A.N. Black Beans.
1 hard fresh cheese by P.A.N.
For the arepas: In a bowl, pour water, salt and P.A.N. Precooked White Cornmeal gradually
Mix for 2 minutes until a smooth dough is obtained. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
Divide the dough into 8-10 equal portions, then form balls of dough and flatten with the palms of the hands to form 10-12 cm wide disks
On a griddle over medium heat, cook 5 minutes on each side. Open with a knife on one side and fill to taste while hot.
For the filling: In a microwave-safe bowl, pour 2 cans of Frijoles Negros Gusto by P.A.N. and heat for 2 to 3 minutes.
Grate the P.A.N. hard fresh cheese.
Fill the arepa with equal portions of Frijoles Negros Gusto by P.A.N. and grated cheese.
