Empresas Polar’s operation in Spain grows with the opening of a new distribution center

Empresas Polar, through its subsidiary Alimentos Polar España, the Venezuelan multinational opens a new distribution center in Madrid to meet the demand of 4 continents: Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania. The increase in sales of its products from 1,500 tons to 10,000 tons in the last 3 years and the medium-term growth prospects have led the company to invest in a 4,500 square meter distribution center in Rivas Vaciamadrid.

The new logistics warehouse will hold more than 4,000 pallets for dry and frozen products, P.A.N. precooked corn meal, Polar Pilsen beer and Maltín Polar malt.

In Spain, Empresas Polar already has a refrigerated and frozen food production center for the P.A.N. brand, which is celebrating its second anniversary and was its first installation in Europe. The company currently has a local workforce of 292 employees, a considerable increase over the 93 employees working in mid-2020.

The company is present in most supermarket and hypermarket chains on four continents, both national and local, as well as in the traditional or independent retail channel. Alimentos Polar España’s facilities, located in the Community of Madrid, directly serve the markets of Holland, UK, Portugal, France, Italy, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Malta, Greece, Australia and Morocco. Through distributors, they also serve Poland, Croatia, Ireland, Norway, Belgium, Austria, among others.

Empresas Polar, through its subsidiary Alimentos Polar España, is constantly working on the innovation of its products, with launches in different categories such as flour, beverages, frozen and refrigerated products.

We are pleased to announce this new Empresas Polar center in Spain. The strategic location of Madrid allows us to reach any point in Europe and Asia. In addition, we are already working on the search for commercial alliances for countries in Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania,’ says Fernando Rodriguez, director of Empresas Polar.
